Sam DeSimone

Sam DeSimone

Director of Junior Tennis at Heritage Palms Golf and Country Club, Sam has over 7 years of on-court teaching experience. Sam started playing tennis, and competing in USTA sanctioned events at age 8. At the conclusion of his junior tennis career he was ranked inside the top 5 in the Middle States Section, and held a high national ranking.

Sam’s collegiate tennis was played at West Liberty University. He claimed the conference freshman of the year award, and three all conference team selections. During his sophomore year, while competing at the #1 position on the team, the West Liberty Hill Toppers won their conference and made an NCAA tournament appearance.

Sam’s passion for coaching also began during his college career. He was head assistant professional at Oglebay Resort and Conference Center during, and for a short time, after his college years.

Heritage Palms junior tennis program offers a unique approach to learning and developing tennis skills. Sam brings the most valuable lessons he learned during his career technically, nutritionally, and strategically to each practice. The atmosphere of each lesson is very positive, focused, and energetic. His passion for the game, and for teaching and coaching tennis is contagious. Most importantly, Sam understands that tennis is a gateway to invaluable lessons like dedication, focus, discipline, and strategic thinking. These lessons help immensely on court but will ultimately extend well past our tennis careers.
